Blind SA invites you to an Inclusive Early Childhood Development (ECD) Conference for Blind and Visually Impaired Children in South Africa, themed “Leaving No Child Behind,” as part of the Vision 2030 Early Childhood Development Framework. Date: Wednesday, 28 October 2026. Time: 08:30–17:00. Venue: Manhattan Hotel, Pretoria. Attendance: R500 per delegate. Programme highlights: international, regional and national ECD policy, regulations and research; early identification through prenatal, postnatal and neonatal child health services; academic research and parental perspectives; current child health services and ECD practices; and cross-sector partnerships for universal vision screening for South Africa’s children. Keynote speakers: Dr Janine Kotze, National Department of Basic Education; Dr Deon Minnies, University of Cape Town; and Dr Praveena Sukhraj-Ely, International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment (ICEVI).
