We have come this far, the end of the internationally recognized 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women. Events had been organized, words have been said, both by the government and the civil society. Activists have spoken, stressing their frustration on the slow implementation of the strategies to fight against this scourge.

Blind SA has done and is continuing to do its part too to ensure the voice of visually impaired women is heard by all relevant stakeholders. Visually impaired men have engaged robustly to show their support and planned efforts to assist to ensure the safety of women in this country.

We are now hosting the last activity for this year, the national dialogue on preventive measures to combat GBV as follows:

Date: 07 December 2021

Time: 10h00-12h30

Venue: Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86788865671?pwd=d3p0VElJUGRzcXRTMTk1Q2RyWG5QQT09

Meeting ID: 867 8886 5671

Passcode: 714908

Women of South Africa, stop keeping quiet when you are being abused, stop looking away when your sister is being abused. Men of Africa, women respect you for who you are. Be there to ensure the space is safe for all, including women and children. Your masculinity should now be redirected to be exercised in positive efforts in our society.
