Advert Special Awards 75th Anniversary

Blind SA, as part of its 75th Anniversary on 26 October 2021, will present Special Awards to deserving blind and partially sighted persons and organisations who have made an outstanding and meritorious contribution to the empowerment of the lives of other blind and partially sighted people. The Special Awards will be presented in two categories, namely:

National and International category; and

Provincial and District category.

The Special Awards is open to nominations from individuals or organisations for those people or organisations who exceptionally contributed in the improvement of the lives of blind and partially sighted people since 1994, in areas listed below:

Civic and political activities – Voter Education; Community development

Social development, inclusion and social integration

Economic Empowerment and employment placement

Sports, Arts/recreation and Culture

Technology – Braille; Computing

Education – Literacy; Numeracy; Early Childhood Development; Adult Education and Training

SUCH INDIVIDUAL OR ORGANISATION MUST HAVE EXCEPTIONALLY SATISFIED ONE OR MORE OF THE CRITERIA SET BY BLIND SA TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.

The closing date for nominations is 10 December 2020

The Special Awards will be presented during the Blind SA 75th Anniversary in 2021
